Hardware Assembly Guide

Reference resources for assembling the Common Robotics Platform hardware and locating the interactive bill of materials (BOM).

The hardware assembly of the robot involves mechanical construction and wiring of components. While there are no commands to run on the Pi, this guide provides pointers to the interactive Bill of Materials (BOM) and detailed assembly instructions hosted online.

  • Visit the Interactive BOM to find all required parts and hardware. The BOM includes 3D views and part numbers.
  • Follow the step‑by‑step assembly guide provided on the project wiki to assemble the base, mount the LiDAR, camera and battery, and route cables neatly.
  • Ensure that all connectors are secure and that moving parts are unobstructed before powering on the robot.
